Last month, I tried to give away fifteen Google Wave nominations, without success. I can only imagine that anyone interested found the contest rules too onerous.
So, in recognition of the fact that I have more nominations than I know what to do with, I’m reviving the contest in much simpler fashion.
To participate, simply leave a comment on this post. The first fifteen (15) individuals to do so will be nominated. Be sure to include a valid email address with your comment (email addresses aren’t made public).
Because all comments are moderated (unless you’ve commented on this site before), you will not immediately see your remarks listed. Nonetheless, all comments are timestamped, so once I approve your posting, it will appear in the order I received it.
My disclaimer from the previous contest bears repeating, so:
“Know…that these are not invitations in the typical sense. Google instead allows current Wave users to nominate others to receive invitations. Of the few I’ve sent so far, all have been accepted within a few days. That being said, I cannot guarantee that you will receive an invitation immediately.”
With that in mind, I suspect that being nominated is a faster route to receiving a Google Wave invitation than adding your name to the waiting list.
If you have no clue what Google Wave is, check out “First Impressions of Google Wave.”
Indeed you are the lucky one. Your email address was added to my nomination list a few minutes ago.

WOW! am I the 'lucky' one? second comment? Frankly I've been 'Google-Everything-Girl for so many years…began use Google search engine in 2001, than got invited to gmail …flying around the globe on Google Earth, can't live without Google maps and now using only Google Chrome, which is SOOOO much faster, still waiting for my Google voice invite…so if I get my Google Wave …I would be almost complete Google-Everything!!!
Thanx for opportunity!
Because there is little to no percieved value added over other forms of communication. This will be a niche product. I have Wave, you show me how it would be better than other ways of working together?
The collaborative aspects are about the only difference I see. I know a few people whose technology companies use it to collaborate on product development.
Beyond that, I'm not yet sure. Perhaps yet-unreleased extensions will enhance its viability.
