Google Voice Invite Contest Redux

In the spirit of having new toys to play with over the weekend, I’m giving away three (3) Google Voice invites.

And because Google Wave nominations are apparently as popular as fruitcake, each winner of a Google Voice invite will receive be nominated for Google Wave. What can I say, I’m feeling generous.

To participate, simply leave a comment on this post describing how you will benefit from Google Voice. I will select three entrants who provide particularly compelling responses.

Google VoiceComments must be posted by 8:30pm EST (20:30 EST) today. I will announce the winners and send along the invitations shortly thereafter.

When commenting, be aware that all comments are moderated, so your entry will not appear immediately.

BONUS: If you would like to be separately considered for a Google Wave nomination, check out my Google Wave Invite Contest Redux.

  1. My wife and I would love the chance to use Google Voice! Our 2 year contract finally ended, and we were able to join the world of "smart" phones. With our first baby on the way, we both receive tons of text messages from friends and family. After renewing our contracts, it became clear that the 30 dollar (each line) data plan didn't even include text messages, and we can't afford to raise our monthly bill any higher, and the 6 months to come will get very expensive if we can't get lucky enough to get invites. I know it may be too much to ask to use two of your three invites, but I have got to try!

    Thank you for your time.

  3. I'd like to use Google Voice to reduce my time on the phone and get more real work done. I missed finding out about grand central by a week and have been waiting on and off ever since.

  7. Oh man, I just saw this post and I'm bummed I missed it! If you happen to give any more invites away, please consider me. I'm a college student and just starting out as a freelance web designer. I can really afford the extra expense of another phone and number on my wireless plan (books and tuition are expensive!), but would really benefit from the professional appearance and improved customer service that a Google Voice number would give me. It would be a huge boon to me in getting off the ground!

    Thanks!
