A few weeks ago, Julie Kelly at CDIA contacted me. Seems LinkedIn suggested I’d be “someone she should know” on account of Jake Goldman and I having worked together at one time and he having taught at CDIA previously.
After a few interviews and a practice teaching session, I was offered a contract position with the adjunct faculty. It’s part time, so doesn’t won’t interfere with my day job at Automattic, and should prove to be a fun experience.
So far, I’ve taught one session of their WordPress Plugin Development course, and it was a great experience. Tomorrow I spent eight hours talking about actions, filters, and options.
More to come, I’m sure.
(P.S. — their site runs WordPress. Yay!)
